| | Yesterday was our second pre-marital counseling
session. It went just as well as our first. I know now that we were
meant to have Traig counsel us during this time. Too bad I let myself
get all riled up about it a few weeks back. I should have known that it
wasn't up to me. I guess we're constantly reminded that we're not
in control, and that is a good thing! This is my first week post-grad
and I feel as though I have accomplished more in the last few days than
I did all semester as far as wedding stuff goes. I have worked a bit on
addressing invites, gotten some beautiful stamps, chosen the tuxedos,
finished registries, emailed people about pics and music, and managed
to carry out a few much needed quiet times. Traig brought up a good
point yesterday. It was along the lines of 'You are only going to be as
good and Godly a wife/husband as you are a person.' I am not going to
turn into wife of all trades as soon as the rings are exchanged. I need
to be the woman I am called to be before we marry in order to be the
wife I so desire to be. That leaves me with much work to do, today and
always. Our homework for counseling has really forced Luke and I to dig
a little deeper, and it has truly brought us closer after only two
weeks.
To my bridesmaids: Thank you for your constant
support and calls regarding anything you can do to help me out. I
REALLY appreciate it. I can't wait for your homecoming!! I miss you all
sooooo much and want to hug and kiss you each very hard, without
hurting you, of course. Things are going really well and everything is
falling into place. I hope that you are having luck getting your
dresses altered. I was wondering if you could all send me the addresses
for your current locales. I have somehow either never asked for them,
or permanently misplaced them! Thanks! Love ya'll.
P.S. Casey had ten chocolate lab puppies on Sunday night/Monday morning! Pics coming soon.
